SQUALE brings back an icon from the 1960s and 1970s into its continuous collection: the Reference 2001. Originally designed to accompany great freedivers in their dives into the "Grand Bleu," it is now worn by the indomitable spirits of sea explorers.


A LEGENDARY LEGACY

The Reference 2001 Heritage was a key piece in SQUALE’s 65th-anniversary celebration in 2024, launched as a limited edition. This model is inspired by the watch that Jacques-Yves Cousteau gifted to the first officer of the Calypso in 1972, during an Antarctic expedition. In the 1960s, its asymmetrical "barrel" case and sapphire crystal made it a benchmark for freedivers, and today, its design makes it perfect for those navigating new horizons.
