CASE

It's true that wristwatches aren't traditionally rooted in Asian culture (apart from Japan obviously), and the First PITZMANN proudly embraces the time-honored formula of European watch designs. On the flip side, the PITZMANN II is an infusion with a distinctive Korean identity.

Drawing inspiration from the 'GIWA,' traditional Korean roofing tiles, the case shape and lugs of the Pitzmann II create an exotic timepiece. The GIWA roof tiles, with their cycloids and beautiful curves, served as the muse. While similar roofing techniques are found across Asia, the PITZMANN II uniquely captures the essence of Korean originality.

CALIBER

The beating heart of the PITZMANN II is the robust Sellita caliber SW300-1, a Swiss-made movement, usually only found in high-end timepieces because of its 56 hour power reserve and complete reliability. This movement is shown off through the showcase display caseback offering a visual treat of precision in motion. With a commendable 150M water resistance, this timepiece is not just a companion for daily wear but also holds its own during leisure activities and recreational water sports.

DIAL, INDICIES & HANDS

PITZMANN has created a dial design that centers around achieving a clean and well-balanced aesthetic, recognizing that the dial is the most visible element of the watch. The subtle elevation shift between the inner and outer circles introduces a delightful sense of dimension, steering clear of monotony. Raised indices, echoing the GIWA-shape inspiration, leave a lasting impression in the space between the glass and the dial.

Mirror-polished facets on the indices create a captivating play of light and shadow, adding an elegant touch to the timepiece. The broader and thicker hands of the PITZMANN II, akin to the indices, boast glistening sharp-edged facets. Careful consideration of length and width ensures a satisfying alignment with the markers, enhancing the visual harmony on the dial. In the spirit of detailed design, PITZMANN have incorporated white Super-LumiNova on the hands and indices, so to be seen in the dark with a subtle glow.
